Selling Your Property Yourself

Robert Skinner

As real property prices continue to increase, so do commissions that real estate agents and brokers charge for the disposal/procurement of property for their clients.

This week, we're going to review some literature released about a year ago that helps consumers sell their property themselves and save those rising commissions.

Written by David Goldman, a former East Coast real estate broker, the material presented by Mr. Goldman amounts to a concise, no hype manual to help FSBO sellers market, get good buyers, negotiate and close the sale of their property.

You should be aware that there is other information out there, but Mr. Goldman's manual is the first material we've seen that exposes the problems with hiring agents paid on a commission.

The For Sale By Owner Manual is also one of the only manuals we've found that isn't written by a currently practicing real estate professional.

Perhaps because Mr. Goldman no longer practices real estate, he "pulls out all the stops" and passes to the consumer his "dirty little secrets" that will likely result in a successful sale for a reader of his book.

The For Sale By Owner Manual is digitally delivered and you can pick one up for about $100 at http://www.ForSaleByOwnerManual.com.
